What's the current schedule for production/shipping?

Manufacturing should be done around the end of the year, and then we’ll start literal “shipping” / freight to the ports January next year. That’ll take a month or so to arrive at the fulfillment centers at each continent; but once they’ve arrived, last mile delivery should be about a week. So destination arrival ETA atm is around February.

So far things are on track. And if anything changes, we’ll be sure to update. d-(‘ ‘ d-)

When is the survey due, and when will the order be charged?

The first order confirmation will happen around mid-November, so let’s say, November 15th. We’ll try to keep things open until the end of the year and do a second confirmation in December, but it would be much appreciated if you could submit the survey earlier, as it helps us to ensure the proper quantity is manufactured.

Would pre-orders made later at the Backerkit store still get Kickstarter stretch goal rewards?

We’ve managed to extend the bonus lootbag to until the first shipping run at the end of the year, so those who preorder in 2023 should still be able to receive the bonus rewards!

Is there a character limit for message burial in the beach episode?

The character limit for the message is 200, and limit for alias/name is 40. This includes spaces, because it has to fit onto the image. We’ll try to reach out to those whose message has issues; or if we miss something, if you find an issue after release, contact us and we’ll amend it.

Can I leave messages in other language for message burial in the beach episode?

Theoretically yes, but it is more of an issue with the fonts. Latin script languages (using a b c alphabets and its variations) is the safest, though others that the games have been supporting (e.g. Chinese and Korean) should also be okay.

Q. What sizes will shirts be offered in?

A. Please refer to the size chart (last picture in the shirt’s gallery), and be sure to select the right one (ABCDEFGHI) for the proper fit based on it.

(The reason we used that instead of S M L etc. is to avoid misleading codes, as S M L etc. may be different between manufacturers so selecting a # out of habit may lead to unfit sizes. The sizes printed on the shirts would actually be traditional lettering though.)

Q. How much does shipping cost?

Shipping fee is now confirmed and should show up at the end of the survey. We managed to keep it consistent with (and in some cases lower than) the original estimates posted on Kickstarter, with some subsidizing (and capped the most expensive shipping areas to a max of 1.5x to that of the US original estimate). VAT to applicable areas are separate, but we’ve taken step to reduce them so they should be fairly minor and single digits for the most part.

What is the early bird prize?

It involves a segment of the beach episode (a RSVP event there using your name/tag), and as we approach the release of the game, emails/DMs will be sent out for more information.

Q. What is your returns and exchanges policy?

We’ll be reasonable! If anything’s broken/damaged during shipping, we’ll take care of the return/exchange on our expense.

Current Estimated Shipping Date: January 2024

The current schedule is to finalize design by October 10th (done!) and send off to manufacturer, aiming to finish production in around 2 months (most items have already been prototyped with them, so friction is low), and then begin freight to the shipping centers around the end of the year. The freight may take over a month, but the last-mile shipping from the centers after should be quick. Unplanned events may always happen, but we'll try our best to do what's within our control to keep things on track.

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
